Headlamp Upgrade
Headlamp Relays (Click for a circuit diagram) The original lamp units were showing thier age with many stone chips to the glass and varying degrees of rust on the reflectors so it was decided to upgrade. Four new Cibie lamp units were supplied by James Paddock.
Shown left are the new relays. They are wired to switch from dip on the outer lamps to main on all four lamps. Four relays are used to allow 4 x 100w mains if required. I'm going to start with 80/100w H4 in the outer lamps and retain the standard 55W H1 mains in the inners as I'm not sure my old alternator can stand the strain of providing 33Amps just for lighting.
